Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the blog entry. Any news on the current (or expected) water temperature?
We are looking mid to low 60's for the water.
How come the race was shortened by a half hour? What if I can't finish in the time?
the schedule of events is a guide. there is no cut off time for the race.

I just have one question. Why don't the race directors just delay the start of a race rather than cancel the bike? By the time we swam half an hour late we could have done the whole race. Seems like with the effort put in by sponsors and athletes all would benifited by giving the weather a chace to break as it did. just curious
Oh and one more thing..will the race results be published? I would still like to see where I stacked up in the shortened event. Thanks
Unfortunately none of us have a crystal ball. The weather service had rain going until late afternoon.
The support teams we pay for like Salem Police, Payson Police, and Utah County Search & Rescue can't and won't sit around indefinitely.
They say make a decision or we are out of here and that is what we did.
